Back to the drawing board.

So I've tried to make this thing with this guy work. I've attempted to maintain an open mind and give him the fairest chance I possibly could but if there is one thing I've learned, people don't change to accommodate your needs, at least not in the long term. We're facing an issue of the most basic incompatibility.

I'm bored by him. I was hoping that conversation would evolve from his drunken college adventures, hatred of his brother and his accomplishments at work but it most definitely has not. I've tried mentioning current events, to which he responds with an eye roll and silence. I've tried discussing politics, which ultimately ends in him lambasting my "extreme liberalism", which he thinks is the same thing as my actual libertarian ideology. I've attempted discussions of literature, art and culture but I'm sure we can guess how those conversations end.

On top of all that is his habit of pausing live television whenever a hot girl graces the screen. I'm not really sure what he is attempting to accomplish with that move. Oh, and the sex is obnoxiously one sided. Game over.
