Like gargoyles from the night they creep out. Declaring square feet of the grass on the mall their own. Just because it's warm. Smiles frequent the faces of passerbys, gentlemen are more apt to hold open the door for a lovely lady instead of slamming it in her face. Pink toe nails peek out. Khaki cargo shorts manage to cling to the bodies of all fraternity men, as if it is some sort of required spring wardrobe staple.

And all seems right. One more day of classes. Then the beach and shopping in Uptown. I'm thrilled. It will be a gorgeous summer.
