The Question;
Football game or no Football game?
Let's see, the University made it quite clear through a mass e-mail that anyone participating directly or indirectly in a riot will be expelled. No questions asked. So, this means that I could be peacefully walking down the street and for no other reason than chance I could encounter a riot and consequently be expelled. Bullshit. It's going to happen, people get drunk, people who are already stupid become even more stupid. I don't want your actions to directly affect my life in the way. I want to be at the game, I want to celebrate. This doesn't mean I want to light things on fire, tip over cars, and shoot people with paint ball guns. So please, control yourselves. Drink a little more, pass out. Just so long as I can enjoy the football game without being videotaped and shot at with pellet guns by the police force perched on top of buildings. Thank you.
Anyway. I attended a 'four-year' planning meeting this afternoon. It's pathetic that they make you sign an agreement to graduate in four years and then encourage you to take a year to explore yourself. You just want my money and guess what?? You can't have it. People wonder why at least 50% of people attending the University take six or more years to graduate. I presented my advisor with a perfectly feasible plan to exit in two years. Granted I have accumulated a large amount of AP credits and PSEOP credits. Still, my advisor looked at me as if I were crazy. Woman, when I say that I will graduate with a double major in two years, I will do it. And no, I don't want to spend a year taking random courses that will not satisfy any requirements or benefit me in any way. I feel so much better.
