Champagne Kisses and Caviar Dreams

Happy 2006.

Admittingly, I hate nights like these because you are required to have the highest expectations of super fantasticness and really, what is the point of making a resolution merely because the year on your desktop calendar in your cubicle decides to change? Why not just try to be healthy and happy everyday.

I know, I am no fun. It has something to do with all of my friends being at swank parties, without me, the underager. I hope it doesn't have anything to do with this boy quite possibly kissing another girl on 3-2-1 balloons and streamers fall. Because I shouldn't care.

I hung out with my dog and drank MGD Light like the single thirty year old I secretly am. We will save the $250 champagne for a genuine celebration or at least one I can be enthusiastic about.

For those less bitter, perhaps even less jaded, than I, I hope 2005 met your satisfaction and that 2006 provides a chance to live life better. My only wish and desire for the coming year is to feel alive, to sever silly ties to the past, and embrace the present without having to think about it too much. We will see.

Here's to '06 Lindsay.

The plot seems to be chugging around nicely right now here at lifeintext.

Hope all is well in the land of snow.

It is no matter, I did not pay for the bubbly.

The plot thickens and it turns.
